The Minister of Education and Sports (Sports), Honorable Charles Bakkabulindi has led a delegation of 50 athletes/officials to the 3^rd Africa Youth Games in Alger, Algeria slated for 18^th to 28^th July 2018.

The Team that departs today aboard, Emirates Airways shall participate in Athletics, Badminton, Weightlifting, Handball, Rowing and Swimming.

During the flag off of the Team today at Uganda Olympic Committee, The NCS Chairman, Mr. Bosco Onyik retairated government’s support to sports development. NCS contributed USD.22,400 towards the teams participation in the games.

At the previous games that were the 2^nd edition in 2014 in Gaborone, Botswana, Uganda won 1 Gold and 2 Bronze Medals.
