NCS COMMISSIONS 60KVA GENERATOR FOR THE LUGOGO SPORTS COMPLEX
National Council of Sports (NCS) has acquired a 60KVA Generator to supply power within the Lugogo Sports Complex and accordingly address power interruptions that affect sports events/activities especially in the Indoor Stadium and work processes at the NCS Secretariat.
The NCS Chairman, Dr. Donald Rukare today commissioned the Generator at Lugogo and remarked that the Generator will help to ensure the running of facilities at Lugogo is seamless given the black-outs that disrupt sports activities.
‘The Generator is timely acquired at a time when the government of Uganda has given a go ahead for the resumption of Sports and many National Sports Associations/Federations are geared up to hold sports calendar events.’ Noted Dr. Patrick Ogwel, the NCS General Secretary.
Therefore, in respect to the core mandate of Council, the Generator will be able to provide 24/7 power supply. This will effectively resolve the long problem of power black-out during games in the indoor stadium and Night Games will be played without any interruptions.
In addition, administratively the secretariat shall be able to continue with their work effectively and efficiently without power interruptions.
