2020 BRIEF PROJECTION AND WEEK REVIEW OF LEAGUE SPORTS MATCHES KICK STARTING THE YEAR
Happy New Year from National Council of Sports (NCS).
The 2020 Sports Season has started in high gear and NCS is excited about the sports programmes and activities that will see Uganda’s sports transcend international standards. Accordingly, National Council of Sports working closely with the 50 affiliated National Sports Federations has set out to strategically deliver a successful sports year 2020 through ensuring compliance of National Sports Federations to policy guidelines, strengthening grassroots community sports through district tours, improving human capacity of Sports Administrators, increase of support to National Sports Associations, establishing partnerships and infrastructural development. On a similar note, the new years focus will be the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and we are happy to note that various national sports associations/federations have already embarked on qualification campaigns of athletes to the biggest global event.
