Today, National Council of Sports commemorates its 60th anniversary.
At the helm of Sports in Uganda, NCS has been unwavering in its pursuit of championing sports development and strives to outshine past achievements in the future.
Since inception in 1964, NCS has been on a transformative journey of growth and untiring commitment to excellence. The 60 years celebration is a collection of triumphant moments of the various National Teams and sports athletes that have attained podium finishes at national, regional and international scenes to showcase the abundant sporting talents.
Our journey of 60 years is no mean feat and is a testimony of visionary leadership, strategic partnerships, diverse sporting talents and dedication to excellence that have translated into socioeconomic development of Uganda.
On this day, NCS sets in motion a series of activities that will commemorate the NCS as a beacon of empowerment, transformation, tremendous growth, unprecedented sports victories and accomplishments achieved over the past six decades.
It’s a celebration of past accomplishments and a vision for a promising future.
