This is to express our delight and sincere congratulations to the Management of KCCA FC, upon the historic and triumphant victory over St. George Football Club of Ethiopia, to qualify for the CAF Champions’ league group stages.

I wish to note that this heroic and memorable performance has been attained on account of the prudent planning and strategic focus by the management of KCCA; who have, in a very short time, transformed the Football Club into a well-managed and professionally run entity. Indeed, the high quality standards you have set through this qualification should not only act as an inspiration, but should also be emulated by other soccer clubs in the country.

I also wish to observe that the qualification of your team is a clear testimony of the abundant talent in our country, and also demonstrates the fact that your Club is on the right track to propel Uganda to be among the top echelons of Club Soccer on the African continent.

Therefore, on behalf of the Government/NCS, and indeed, on behalf of the entire sports fraternity, I wish to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt and sincere congratulations to your team for this fantastic and incredible achievement - being the first Football Club in Uganda to qualify for CAF Champions’ league group stages.

Accordingly, I also wish to pledge our commitment to engage the Management of KCCA, and the Federation of Uganda Football Associations [FUFA], to ensure that the best management practices you have exhibited are shared with other actors in the sports sub-sector, to register more such success stories in the country.
