DAVID EMONG CLAIMS BRONZE AT THE 2020 TOKYO PARALYMPIC GAMES
At the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games, Tokyo, Uganda was represented by 4 athletes in Para sports disciplines of Athletics, Badminton and Swimming. Uganda finished in 78th overall position with 1 Bronze Medal won by David Emong in the Men’s T46 1500m Event in a Personal Best time of 3:53.51 at the Olympic Stadium, Tokyo to enrich is sports profile that also has a Silver medal from the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games and Gold at the 2017 World Para-Athletics Championships.
Peace Oroma in Para-Athletics set a Personal Best time of 13.17 to finish in 6th position in the Heats of the Women’s T13 100M event. Thereafter, Peace also in a Personal Best time of 59.09 finished 4th in the heats of the Women’s T13 400m event at the Olympic Stadium, Tokyo, Japan.
