Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania will jointly host the 2024 African Nations Championships (CHAN) in September 2024. The 16 teams tournament that is reserved for players who are playing in their domestic leagues is also an audition for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations which three East African nations will equally co-host.
